Elementor Pro license not activated

The Elementor Pro plugin checks the core Elementor installation and validates the license against the domain stored on Elementor’s server. If the core plugin folder is moved, the domain does not match, or the server blocks the request, the validation fails.

This failure stops the plugin from unlocking Pro widgets and shows an activation error in the dashboard.

Symptoms

[dashicons-warning]
Dashboard notice
A banner shows “Elementor Pro license not activated”.
[dashicons-admin-tools]
License page error
Error message reads “Your license key does not match your current domain” or “403 Forbidden”.
[dashicons-no]
Missing Pro widgets
Pro widgets appear greyed out or are absent from the Elementor panel.
[dashicons-admin-network]
cURL error message
Admin area displays “cURL error 7: (http_request_failed)”.

Common Causes

Plugin folder renamed
Elementor Pro expects the core plugin in /wp-content/plugins/elementor/. A different folder name breaks the dependency check.
Domain mismatch
License stored for a different URL than the site URL. Mismatch includes http vs https or www vs non‑www.
403 Forbidden response
Server or security module returns HTTP 403 when Elementor contacts its licensing server.
cURL error 7
Outbound HTTP request to my.elementor.com fails due to firewall, disabled cURL extension, or DNS issue.
