The error usually originates from server‑side issues such as PHP fatal errors, memory limits, or security rules that block the call. It also occurs when the required action parameter is missing or when Elementor and WordPress versions are mismatched.
When the request aborts, Elementor cannot save changes, load previews, or submit forms. The editor shows a red toast message and often becomes unresponsive. The problem surfaces in the System Info page as server errors.
