Elementor safe mode not exiting

Elementor enters Safe Mode when it detects a conflict or error during editor load. The system then disables third‑party widgets and shows a banner to keep the editor stable.

If the conflict persists, Elementor never clears the safe‑mode flag, so the banner remains and the Exit button does nothing. The issue appears only in the admin editor, while the front end works normally.

Symptoms

[dashicons-warning]
Safe mode banner always visible
Editor shows a banner that says Elementor is in Safe Mode.
[dashicons-admin-plugins]
Exit Safe Mode button inactive
Clicking the button produces no response.
[dashicons-admin-appearance]
Blank editor canvas
Sections and widgets do not render in the editor.

Common Causes

Plugin conflict
A third‑party plugin throws a JavaScript or PHP error that forces Safe Mode.
Theme incompatibility
Active theme lacks required hooks or loads scripts that break Elementor.
Server cache serving old assets
Page‑level cache or CDN delivers stale editor files, keeping Safe Mode active.
